Welcome to Diana Lee Counselling

The hope of change and healing through relational therapy

My name is Diana and I am a counsellor providing short- medium- and long-term therapy to adult individuals in Bristol and South Glos. I offer face-to-face and online sessions.

About Me

My name is Diana and I’m an integrative person-centred counsellor. I believe 100% in the healing potential of the therapeutic relationship: I know I can trust this because I've seen it for myself in the counselling room. From my personal experience of being in therapy and from working with clients in my own practice, I know that counselling can change lives. What I enjoy most in my work is offering you the hope of becoming more fully the person you have the potential to be. My approach is primarily relational while I also draw on insights from a variety of therapeutic approaches to best meet your needs.

My Qualifications

I trained at Network Counselling and Training in Bristol, on the 'A Way of Being' introductory course, the Advanced Certificate in Counselling Skills and the Advanced Diploma in Counselling, a BACP accredited course. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and undertake regular continual professional development.

I have a wealth of experience working relationally with adults and young people from a variety of backgrounds, identities and beliefs. I am a qualified teacher and for many years taught music and personal, social and health education (PSHE). I am a tutor in the training department at Network where I also work as a mentor and facilitator. I previously worked for the university supporting and promoting student mental health and wellbeing. I have volunteered with HomeStart and Bristol Churches' Shelter supporting those struggling to cope.

Are you feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stress or depression?

Are you trying to cope with relationship or family issues, past trauma or abuse?

Are you struggling with feelings of grief and loss after bereavement, or experiencing difficult emotions around a significant change in your life?

Maybe there's something you'd like to work through, such as making a difficult decision about the future or exploring spiritual questions?

Maybe you're just not feeling yourself, or feel stuck and want to find a way forward?

If you’ve answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions, counselling may help.

Sometimes just having someone to share problems with can be healing, talking through with someone who listens without judgment or giving advice. If you choose counselling with me, I offer you a safe, comfortable and private space where I listen with empathy and understanding, helping you to explore what is troubling you. I support you to understand more about the issues you bring and to get to know yourself more deeply so that you find new ways forward and live your life more authentically. I totally respect your personal autonomy: I work alongside you at your pace and to your values and goals.

If you feel ready to take this next step, you are very welcome to contact me.

My Location & Fees

I offer 1:1 face-to-face or online video sessions.

I work from dedicated, accessible counselling rooms at Network Counselling and Training, Elm Park, Filton, Bristol BS34 7PS, just off the A38; there's parking and public transport nearby.

Sessions are 50 minutes, usually weekly, and cost £55 per session; payment is via bank transfer. If you need to cancel a session, please give at least 48 hours’ notice to avoid being charged.

Choosing a counsellor can feel daunting. It’s important that you feel comfortable and able to talk freely.

That’s why I offer a free 30-minute initial consultation with no obligation to continue. We will discuss what you hope to get out of therapy, how it might help and decide if it feels right for you. If you choose to continue, we will arrange a regular time to meet. We can set a time frame for your counselling or keep things open-ended.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about how counselling works, or to arrange an initial appointment. This enables us to discuss the reasons you are thinking of coming to counselling, whether it could be helpful for you and whether I am the right therapist to help.

You can also call or text me on +44 7398 568860 if you would prefer to leave a message or speak to me first. I am happy to discuss any queries or questions you may have prior to arranging an initial appointment.

My counselling sessions are on Mondays and Wednesdays. I regret that I cannot offer evening or weekend sessions.

All enquiries are usually answered within 24 hours, and all contact is strictly confidential and uses secure phone and email services.

I'm currently available for fortnightly sessions on Mondays at 12.15pm, with the potential for changing to weekly if preferred.
